Clutch Dilemma

Hey guys im swapping over my 94 formula over from an a4 to an m6 and kind of on a budget. I have on my hands a decision thats got me really thinking hard. I have the option of either buying new a spec stage 1 or ram hdx or i have a line on a stock pp and clutch disk for a steal and mod elsewhere. Also been told lt4 pp are easy to find and most perf clutch kits use them and i see that i can pick up a mcleod single disk for cheap to go with it. Im just not sure which route to go right now. How long does a stock clutch last to a performance style clutch? If i want to beat on a stock clutch can i and how long will it last. I dont go to the strip its just for the street and everyday driving.

Any info would be appreciated towards this,

-Matt
