limited slip

How do you know if you have a limited slip differental? Also been haveing problems trying to check my rear end oil. How do you do it?

jack the backof the car up, in neutral, rotate one tire. If the other tire rotates in the same direction you have a limited slip (it wont rotate in park/gear)

If your rear end is stock, I can tell you now you dont have limited slip, you have a torsen.

to check the oil you simply pull the fill plug on the side, and stick your finger in the hole, the fluid should be right at the botom of the hole. if its not, add till it starts to come out...

According to my door sticker mine is a GU8 which is limited slip!
In checking with Chevrolet by VN it's a limited slip.
Whats the difference in the two
