Hatchback?

Did anyone notice the trunk of the car? It almost looks like a hatchback. If you look closely at the pic along the left side of the back-glass you will notice the camo doesn't line up. Looks like two separate pieces.

not rounded enough for a hatchback in my opinion

Just don't see it as a hatchback.

Hatchbacks are out with many new larger cars as they add weight and lose strength. Both of these are prime concerns on this car.

Looks like they taped over the molding so the moldings bulge doesnt look as prevelant as it probably will.

edit: IIRC, the rear glass is slightly recessed from the rearward part of the c-post

i really like the hatch and i haven't really owned a car with a normal trunk, but on this car a trunk will definately work better.

i hope that the rear seat still folds down though and i also hope they use shocks not the big metal arms trunk lids used to use. how are they attaching trucks these days?

If you look at the most current design it seems the rear window is slanted towards the end more; hmmmmm...I would prefer a hatch design, but be fine with the trunk.

I highly doubt after as much fanfare as the concept got they would release a production change like that.
