I have tried to search this before I posted something but I couldn't fine anything...I am curious, what is the biggest rim I can fit on my car...Its a 93 Z28...Can I fit 20" rims on the front...Im sure I would on the back but I think I can only go 19's on the front...

To whoever answers his question, he may also need to know the maximum width of tire and how all of this relates to a rim that is offset.
You should also check, before buying, that these wheels will cover your brakes.

 

I know people have done 22's, but I don't know widths etc. I'm pretty sure those cars aren't driven much though since the tire would be a rubber band,

 

Well the reason im asking this question is cause I wanted to put 19's on the front and 20's on the back....What do you mean by "cover" the brake??? Will it be hard to find some Corvette rims that are 19's and 20's???

Why, never mind.

cover the brakes, make sure you arent gonna have to take a grinder and make your calipers clear your rims. I have 17's and 18's off a vette. 20's will fit but your giving up a lot of performance. You can probably look on cardomain and find a couple on 20's and see what they are running.

 

Ok...Why wouldn't my calipers clear my rims...If I am putting bigger rims on the car...And the stock ones that are 16"s, wouldn't the bigger rims give it more clearance? I am sure you know what you are talking about, im not second guessing anyone...I am just curious and confused..Dont you lose HP if its anything bigger than 18's? I want at least 19's just cause 18's IMO would look too small...ANY PICS would be appreciated....

because the offset of the wheel can affect spoke placement which could put it right into your caliper

driving habbits are very important if you street race dont get 22" if you have a glass a$$ or you cant miss every pot hole dont get 18" OR BIGGER. a nice 295/25/20 with 245/35/20 is a nasty staggerd look

If you put the correct tire size on the 20" wheel, it will not "kill your gear ratio" . As long as you keep the outside diameter of the tire the same, is has NOTHING to do with the effective gear ratio or with the speedometer, etc. A 285/25-20 has the same outside diameter as a 245/50-16, 275/40-17, etc.

It will reduce traction, it will take more energy to accelerate it, it will provide a harsh ride, it will increase the possibility of rim damage due to potholes, it may not look good to the majority of the performance oriented F-Body fans...... but it will not "kill your gear ratio".
