Are they all the same quality, fit, and finish? They vary in price and I don't see why. Rather expensive too.

 

All relocation brackets are not the same. Some are formed from one piece where some are welded together. Some use 10 gauge materials and some use 7 gauge material. Ours for example are cnc laser cut out of 7 gauge (3/16") cold rolled material and the main saddle is cnc formed from one piece not welded form 3 pieces like others. The other thing to look out for is the mounting holes. I have noticed some make the mounting hole larger and supply a smaller 3/8" bolt. This will weaken the mounting and potentially allow for the bolt on styles to move on you. You can find ours at www.hotpart.com which do not have the downfalls found in other companies brackets. Some are finished and some aren't, so you'd have to paint them so they don't rust. Also, I'd would suggest welding them. Some you can bolt in, but it won't be as strong or as safe, imo.

 

Umi's brackets are pretty thick, stong and easy to install, i have bolt ins, which are great and you can weld them if you choose

 

Same here, I have the UMI design that is 3 piece welded together. Good welds, a weld will be just as strong as the material if done correctly.
