A1000 pump mounting spots?

where did you guys mount your A1000 PUMP, I have a 1/2 inch fitting in the bottom of my tank running 12an line out of that to a filter 12an out of that, but I dont know where to mount that monster pump at the thing is huge, I didnt know if its better to keep it as close to the tank as I can under the stock plug for the tank? or if I should mount it up out of the way further where the old fuel filter was, I didnt know if this pump will suck at all or if it just uses gravity to feed it, the spot where the filter was looks like it would work better but then my feed line to it will be laying straight not down hill to feed it. anyone have any info for me, or pics of how you mounted yours?

i see some probs with that pic.
is that line zip tied to the spring?
pick up shoud probly be in the right rear
i would get some insulated clamps and tie that line up and over the axle.
i think its easier to adapt it to hard tubing and then route it to the front, lighter and cheaper -12an is a little big i think

look at the pic, it has a mount on the filter that I made its bolted to the bar that runs across the body, Im only running 12 an to the pump then it will be 1/2 in alu after that. I know the right rear would be better but theres no room over there and i have a spohn drag race rear sway bar I dont see my car leaving the line that its putting all the fuel over there it should leave straight if not I can adjust that with the end links, and I never run any less than a 1/2 tank.

if you run 1/2 tank i think you will be fine

I got it mounted tonight, it hangs a little lower than I wanted it to but it should be fine, its still higher than my exhust and I never hit that + I have a taller tire than I use to in the rear.

That line above the muffler is a bad idea, in traffic the heat from the muffler will rise, could possibly boil the fuel in that line, bad idea.

A 1/2" fitting is the equivalent of -8AN..... sounds too small for the suction line on a pump that large, even if you attached a -12AN line to it. If the fitting it too small, the heat from the exhaust pipe will make the situation even worse, possibly vaporizing the fuel in the suction line because of inadequate net positive suction head. Because of its high vapor pressure, gasoline will flash very easilly with too much pressure loss on the suction side of the pump. Hopefully the fitting on the tank is also one of the "radiused" fittings specifically designed for pump inlet, and not a sharp edged fitting that hurts flow.
