Unhappy Brake Help

Hello,

I own a 95 camaro that i just picked up, missed my old one to much LOL

someone ran new beake lines to the rear but used the wrong flares (used single flare) and i need a bubble flare on it so as u can imaging it leaked, so i replaced the lines with the correct ones but the threads striped out in the Proportiong block so it still leaks =-(

My question is if there is any other cars that the block is the same in, it is $900 new form the dealer but that is insane, and all the yards out here dont have any 4th gen f-bodies in them. i have disc in front and drum in back.

Don

Re: Brake Help

I have a proportioning valve from a 95, I'll never need. PM me and we'll work something out. The donor car in question had the same set-up as the one in your post.

Re: Brake Help

I've also got parts laying around I'd almost give ya. But kinda confused as the lines to the rear go into the ABS moudle and not the proportioning valve. The lines from the master cylinder run to the proportioing valve that is mounted to the ABS module. Post a pic or further describe what got damaged.

Re: Brake Help

I think he's talking about the ABS box, the outlets on the master cylinder itself, or least likely the T-hose in the back. There's no way a simple proportioning valve would be 900$. I'll give him the box for a good price, but shipping will be a little pricey.

Re: Brake Help

Might want to clarify the original question. What threads are stripped?

The Lines Comming out of the Master cylender are fine, what they go into is whats shot. its a block right infront of the master cylender w/ 2 wiring harnesses on top and 1 on side.

Thx

That's the ABS box, no wonder they quoted you that price at the dealership. PM sent. Get this box out of my garage please.
