Just another bolt-on 12 second LT1

Saturday finally dipped into the 12's, the previous weekend had 13.15 @ 108 in decent weather. Saturday was humid as hell.

1.88 60' (She's got more in her)
8.3 @ 84 1/8th
12.90 @ 107.7 1/4

Ok, mods:
Homemade Coldair
Holley Airfoil Used
Meziere Water Pump
Asp Underdrive Pulley
Mac mids Used
Homemade offroad pipe
Hooker Catback
Madz28 Mailorder Tune
Motive 4.10's Used
Boxed stock LCA's
LCA Reloc Brackets
Right rear airbag
255/50 16 BFG's
Hurst Billet Plus Used

Other than front sway bar and upper portion of rear seat its full weight. And that was with over half a tank of gas. And stock clutch with 100k miles on it.

Unfortunately last track day of the year. Can't wait till next year, hoping to push mid 12's with some weight savings, and then next goal is 11's, cam only!

Congrats.

I still remember my first 12 second run. Lid and Loudmouth with an old used up pair of drag radials. LS1 A4 car.

Very nice times for a small investment in mods.

Yeah, temperature was high 60's with around 80% humidity.

That was the first goal, 12's, just bolt-ons, and as cheap as possible.

How are you launching your car to cut a 1.8?? I would be happy with 1.9's but all I can get is 2.0xs out of my M6.

nice runs...1.8 on stock clutch and 4:10's is very impressive..im in the same boat as you, except im still shootin for 12's, gonna be tough but doable, i need to run on a cool night..
your trap speed sounds like a hotcam or cc305

Re: Just another bolt-on 12 second LT1

That was with ***** launches at 3-3500. I was bogging it off the line. It's got a 1.7x in it next year but I want to have a clutch sitting by for backup. I should be able to let it out at 4000 easy, eliminate the bog and drop that time.
I was pretty happy about the traps, means I've still got room for improvment without power mods. Still might add rockers this winter.
And subframes, after a few 1.8x's the pass t-top doesn't lock down as easy as it used too. I know 1.8's aren't that bad but it twisted something nonetheless.

my bfg's dead hook from 4500 and we have similar trap speeds...id say launching from there will get your 1.7x easy
