new times (how did i do )

honestly i think my tranny is holding me back , i also need to learn a little more on launching
tonight was cold as hell and traction was a problem, even with MT ET streets

My best N/A run (kinda pissed this was my 12 sec run but i had to let off 2-3 for it to shift)
60' 2.065
1/8 8.591
mph 84.70
1/4 13.295
mph 104.49

Nitrous , also dissapointed with my time , but i did gain 10mph (also belive im being held back)
60' 2.098
1/8 8.252
mph 89.22
1/4 12.595
mph 114.54

Re: new times (how did i do )

how was the weather?
as i was going through ur times, i was thinking there good for bolt ons, then i seen u have a cam. IMO i would expect a lil more if the weather was decent.

but on the bottle u picked up near 26 mph on the big end, that is really good.

whered ya get 26mph ,

i picked up 10mph

the weather was coooold it was low 50s high 40s , i couldnt get traction very well . i belive i coulda pulled better than a 2.06with mt et streets

the cam i have isnt very large, but with my 60s down i should be propelled down the 1/4 in the high 12s , but my 12 sec run was boggled by my tranny lol.
another issue is i NEED a stall and a nice set of gears , this should put me in the mid to low 12s off the spray

im just looking for opinions, i know my N/A times are ooooook but im not to sure about the nitrous times since this is my first time running with it......

.....also not sure that the bottle was at full pressure since with not pressure guage or blowdown tube im not sure how long to leave the warmer on....there wasnt many ppl there so id turn the warmer on jump in line and the about 2 min later im already staging......

thanks for ur opinions guys

Your times are decent. Camaroz28 said you picked up 26 mph on the big end of the track, not 10. He meant you picked up 26 mph in the last 1/8 instead of 20 mph like you did on your motor pass. BTW, your motor pass had no chance of going to 12's judging by your ET in the 1/8. It matches up perfectly with your overall ET and I'm sure you past the 1/8 while you were still in 2nd gear. Errors on the top end of the track have very little effect on your overall ET.

^^^Agreed. I didn't notice you had a cam, you should be going quite a bit faster than that.

Re: new times (how did i do )

The weak point is in your drivetrain. Stock Converter and Stock tranny, which at this point is probably on borrowed time with the juice thats being put to it. 3.23's arent helping alot either.

To reflect on the trap speed N/A I was trapping 104.4 stock tranny and rear, a few bolt on's ago in warmer weather. Your trap should be at least 108 if not into the 110-112 range. I wouldnt be concerned with the 60' times since the power is having a hard time making it to the rear end, let alone the wheels.
