Too big to be the new Camaro. At least, I hope it won't grow 6 inches in length compared to the concept....192" is within a sliver of 4th Gen size.

the new global RWD platform (zeta) is pretty flexible.. allowing for different cowl to axle distances, different wheelbases, lengths, widths.. the stats for the VE here mean nothing in relation to the Camaro..

I bet it does mean something. Body Width will be right at that. The width at the wheels may be different but I bet the door to door width is almost exactly the same.

But does it allow for racically shorter cowl HEIGHT?

With a height of 58", I'm afraid this car will be TOO FRICKING BIG.

I believe there is a fair amount of flexibility with respect to the cowl height... one of the huge advantages built into the design of this platform.
A radically shorter cowl height? I'm just not sure how to quantify "radically".

Best regardSS,

Elie

Radically = maybe 4" - 6". It'd be nice to have the height under 52", not have the greenhouse too pinched, and not have the fenders too high.

What's it weigh w/ the V8, is that spec out? Just curious, not that it would mean anything for the weight of the Camaro other than perhaps a maximum ceiling...

Re: VE dimensions-could be clue to actual 5th gen dimensions

the only thing on the VE that's going to carry over to Camaro according to those I talk to are the front and rear suspension assemblies and a few ideas used on the VE (such as a front section that bolts in instead of being welded on that contains the radiator support, etc...).
