i've run across a good deal on a PA racing tubular k member, but the only thing is it's set up for the manual steering rack. how much trouble/modification is involved in running a manual rack kit (flaming river specifically) on that setup.
if it's do-able, how much expense/time is involved in making the necessary adjustments?

It's no problem,just a bolt on but ya will have to get a steering shaft also. Depending on your headers they may fit and they may not. Then ya get everything lined up at the front end shop.
Time probably two days in the driveway with the proper tools.
Can't say about the cost as prices change all the time.

 

the price isn't as much of a concern as the mechanical road blocks.
if it's not too difficult to bolt up, might not be a bad way to go concidering the price

 

I have used both BMR and the one you are getting. I like the BMR better and it is lighter.
I had an issue with the lower "A" frames on the Pa but if ya are getting a already fit up and run package and the price is right the the PA is hell for stout.
Basically it is a take apart bolt back together deal.
Well except for the steering shaft. Ya need to call FlamingRiver and see what they offer along with the Rack. With the Mustang rack ya will probably have to get steering ends and maybe a bump steer kit from them too.
The shaft for the Mustang rack sits farther toward the center of the car and your headers may not fit with the shaft(if ya have any). I used 1-7/8" Hedman Hustler on the one I did,with no mods but I bought the two joints and a shaft and built my own shaft.
Customers car and it is still hauling ***.Has a BB in it now.

Ya will need someone to help ya. It is a lot easier that way.
