(94 TA A4) my 95 A4 shaft is to long but what about a drive shaft out of a v6 96 firebird with an A4? i only need it for a temp solution and being the holiday weekend no one can do it till tue.

yes and no...

v6 and v8 driveshafts are transferable, 92-02.

The only problem is 93-I think 98 v6 dirveshafts were 2 piece driveshafts that had a center bearing that connected to the torque arm.

you can do it but you need to swap over a v6 torque arm as well.... or just pick up a normal lt1, or newer v6 1 piece steel driveshaft for $25 and be done.

Why do you have to use a v6 torque-arm ?

older v6 driveshafts have are 2 pieces.

a foot part, then a bearing that mounts to the torque arm, then like a 3 foot part. (numbers not exact)

but the center bearing mounts into mounting holes that are only in v6 torque arms. Just get a 1 piece and be done, they are like $25 and easy to get. also stronger.

Oh, sorry...I thought you were saying you couldn't use the v6 torque-arm WITH the 1pc driveshaft. I've been using mine this way for a while and thought maybe I was missing something here.

i decided to bite the bullet and just wait till Tue. and get a custom drive shaft made...its more money but i do not want to break anything else in the process.
