problem with rear seats (Pics included)

Rear seat on the passanger side will not stay down. I can't see a latch or anything to hold it in place. Any way to fix this?

There is a bolt on the front of the seat 14mm I think that is supposed to hold it in place. The back part of the seat stuffs under the top part of the seat, which is held on by two 14mm bolts and the latches on the top.

Re: problem with rear seats (Pics included)

The bolt holding the seat goes through a loop welded to the floor that sticks up through the carpet. remove the seat and look at the loop. Is it bent forward? If so, grab it with a plyers and bend it back.

I say this because it appears the seat is forwards to far. The rear edge of the seat needs to stay stuffed under the seatback. If it is too far forward it will pop up like yours is.

Try bending that loop bracket backwards a little.

Mine does the same thing, but not as pronounced. I plan on just having a fat person sit in it for a few minutes.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check the check the loop and the bolts tonight. If all else fails, the brother of a friend of mine is quite "horizontally challanged", perhaps he can be of assitance (Thanks for the idea Mikerulzu).

Try bending it and put a longer bolt in.
