Ipod + stock bose, 96 camaro
Ipod + stock bose, 96 camaro
I am going to be purchasing the Ipod nano shortly and was wondering what options I have as far as a direct connection. I have the bose sound system with the stock cd head unit. I see there is a aux port available for the 97-02
but not the 96.
Is there anyway around this, I don't really want the FM transmitter as I have witnessed those don't work to well.
I don't care if I have to buy a new head unit, but this brings me to another question. I was going to do this when I first bought my car but the guy at the audio store told me I couldn't get an aftermarket head unit because of the way the bose cd player is wired?
. He said something along the lines of the stock unit storing memory of something or another and if I were to put an aftermarket one in it would fry?
Can someone clear this up for me?
Thanks
