Weight Loss with new K-member.

When I rebuild my engine soon I want to so other mods as well. THought that would be a good time to work on the suspension and other stuff as well. WOuld this be a good investment for 42 lbs reduction.

the BMR Tubular K-memebers are designed to provide a lightweight alternative to the factory K-member as well as provide additional clearance for aftermarket headers and turbo systems. Our unique design on our V8 models feature integrated frame stands that replace the factory cast iron frame stands. This additional strength over the competition. This means that you can use the K-member for street use, road race, autocross, or drag strip use without worrying about long term fatique. The BMR K-member are built exclusively using larger 1-5/8" x .120" and 1-1/4" x .095" tubing yest still remain up to 7.5 lbs. lighter than the competitions due to our integrated mount design. Using our tubular K-member and upper/lower A-arm set, expect a weight reduction of 42 lbs. Not for V6 models

I did it for the increased access from the bottom, really opens things up.

You might want to check out AJE. Their k-member offers more clearance than any other.

Yes this would be a great way to get rid of 42 pounds. Keep in mind that 42 punds is with the upper and lower control arms. BMR makes a PROVEN and SOLID K-member. IF I am not mistaken it is used on the worlds fastest LT-1 and many other 8 and 9 sec F-bodies.
