New to Camaros, Have a question about cutouts

I'm just my first Camaro a couple weeks ago, all stock, its a 94 z28. I was wondering if i could put a 3" e-cutout on my stock pipe. If so how would that work on a 2.5, or whatever the size the stock pipe is. I know a regular cutout is alot cheaper but i live in a neighborhood of grumpy people, that complain alot so thats out of the question and i dont have enough money to get a loudmouth or borla exhaust system

The stock exhaust is 2.75 inches I believe. The 3" cutout will work, its just the shop will have to build up the welds. The cutout is definitely a good bang for the buck mod.

Muffler shops have tools to flare the tubing also or a coupler could be added to step it up from 2.75 to 3.

Yes, I have a 94 Z28 with only a cutout and it is definitely worth it! It makes it sounds really mean, especially revving to 3500 and letting it drop

I got it for $30, then installed for another $20(+$10 for tip), then I had the electronics($150 I think) that I installed myself.

Very simple, effective, mod. I love it. If you have AIM, get me(flatlander757) when I'm on and I'll send you a video clip of a 94 TA that sounds darn close to how it really is.
