Need advice

Ok guys, need some advice. I noticed the other day that my left front wheel seems to be butterflying a tad, well at least I think it is. Sometimes when I look at the wheel it seems like it is straight, but it can look off at times. The top of the wheel is caving in from the looks of it. What causes the butterfly effect? I lowered my car earlier this year and did not take the cheap way out on any part, everything part was brand new at the time of installment. I also did the alignment as soon as I finished. I didn't notice it till a couple of weeks earlier, it was perfect up till then. It is just that wheel though, all the others are fine. What can I do to remedy the situation before it gets worse? What might have caused this problem and could it be as simple as just getting it realigned? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
