Hello, Was wondering which motor would make more Tq... A 509 cu in with
8 Lbs of boost or a 598 with 6 Lbs??? This is with a 8:71 with carbs. Blower
cam, etc... If more info is required, please ask.... Thanks, Bill

 

I'm going to venture a guess and say the 598. What do you planning to do with 600 CID of blown big block?

 

I am less familiar with the roots blowers, I know they make instant boost and provide a lot more power down low but I would still say that almost a 100 cubic inches is going to give you more torque than 2 psi worth of boost.

 

Too many variables.

Ask someone with some dyno software to model it for you.

 

My vote is the 598 by 50 ft-lb.
