Do i need bigget injectors with a wet kit?

Right now my stock injectors are just fine for my heads/cam setup since im at 5500ft above sea level and my actual horsepower wont be very high maybe 330 to the wheels or something. I cant really afford new injectors right now or in the near future but, i could unless i dont buy a n2o kit and that wouldn't be very fun.

But now to my question...if i get a wet nitrous kit then i won't need bigger injectors because the fuel comes in with the n2o right?

thanks guys
James

You won't need bigger injectors but you should monitor your fuel pressure at WOT to see if the stock fuel pump can keep up with the additional fuel demand.

Re: Do i need bigget injectors with a wet kit?

Just finished intsalling my new walbro 255 pump and racetronix booster harness about 2 days ago.

Hehe i guess im good to go...i just have to buy myself a stall(lol should have been a sooner mod i know) and some tires cause im gona need em.

Oh ya and i got to decide on a n2o system...i kinda like the zex kit but nx is alot better in quality, but then again i could get the zex kit for alot cheaper.

Who knows what to do.

Isn't Zex a Dry kit though?

I am almost sure that zex makes a wet kit... i read an add in gmhtp about it being the perfect n2o lit for the lt1 or something like that. And the wet kit is only like 75 bucks more than the dry.

What do you all think about the zex wet kit?

That's the problem I think I'm having.

Make some runs with the 50 and a 75 shot and they looked good. Put the 100 HP jets in it and it went WAY lean. Fattened up the tune, but even with just motor now, the o2s read leaner than they should for the tune that's in the car. And with the 100 HP running, it's still WAY lean. So I think that my fuel pump is having problems keeping up with the demands now.

Jameslt1TA, where did you get the walbro pump and racetronix harness at?

I got my kit from thunder racing. I got in on a gp for 230 bucks but it runs 250 normally. It was easy to install and i really like the way my voltage jumped up after i put the booster harness in.

Ya ill probably be giving you a call when i get some more money. I just needed to know if injectors would be a good step, first, but im defenitly set on a wet kit so i dont need them now.

Wet kit should never need knew injectors. (Unless your are shot). The only time you should need injectors is if you engine on NA is putting out more power than they can handle.
Now your fuel system will need to main the total hp you are trying to achieve, nitrous and engine hp together. That is were a FPSS comes in handy, and if set correct can save you a ton of headache later.
Even if you purchase the baddest pump on the planet, I would still recommend the FPSS.
