Any Marketing type folks in here?

I just received a survey with my GM Card statement.

Here is the online option for it:
http://www.survey.thegmcard.ca/stati...rd_survey.html

In short, how is any meaningful information generated from these types of surveys??

Currently drive there is only room for 2 ...

Vehicles I am considering is so generic ... I listed a Jeep Liberty ....but the only reason is for the diesel ...I wouldn't consider one otherwise.

If you don't have a specific model in mind the pulldown menu is really limited again ... what do I mark if I'm considering a compact, in 5 door or wagon configeration?

I find it frustrating because there is no way to communicate what I think I want.

I know what you mean...

Id like a small 2 door suv with a big V8 and 4x4 or awd with a reasonable price. There is nothing available like that...and no way to convaye it in that form.

Don't worry, it doesn't matter. That's because the progam is designed to take all available inputs and using proprietary extrapolative and interpolative software calculate that you want another iteration of the Trailblazer.

Re: Any Marketing type folks in here?

Whoever set up this survey didnt do their homework. I worked for many years with a top twenty market research firm. There should be an other specify under the vehicle type for an answer just like yours. It would give them much more specific info than if you decided to enter small car since there isnt an other option. The survey they include with your mailed GM card statement has a spot for other. I would image they may be tired of seeing mid-engine listed on the survey I mail back to them regularly.

There should also be a spot for those with more than 2 cars as well.

The mailed copy has 3 questions in the "Your Plans" section:

Time frame

Purchase/Lease

Vehicles I am considering with space for 2 Make/Model. No "other" and no generic options.

Based on Bonne thread I should tell them I'm considering a Bonneville or an Envoy XUV

The US version has a spot for other type of car, I have never seen the Canadian version.
