Please help me decide on Amp(s) for my setup...

I am completly at a loss as to what I need to complete my system. Right now I have a set of Focal Polyglass 165v components and a Alpine 10 inch Type-R sub in a subthump driver's side box.

What amps do I need? Do I need to run one 2 channel amp to the components and a mono amp to the sub? Or do I run a 3 channel amp to power everything?

Thanks for any help

I prefer to use a dedicated amp for the components and subwoofer. I don't like for my subwoofer amp to share the same amplifier power supply circuit as the main speaker amplifier. Just personal preference. I would recommend using a Class-D subwoofer amp like I've done with my setup.

I kinda agree...

What is your budget for amps?

Power requirements?

You can use a 2 channel amp on the components and use either a 1) mono (single) amp, or 2) a 2 channel amp bridged to a single channel...

Well, I don't want to go broke on buying two amps, but at the same time I want a nice setup.

I was kinda looking at the Phoenix Gold Tantrum 500.2 amp to power the sub.

Basically, tell me if you were buying amps for these speakers, which would you recommend?
