98 style SS brake light in a 97...how to get it to work?

Ive been outta the Z28 scene for a while now, but I remember that there was some sort of mod in order to get a 98 style SS brake light to work on a pre 98 SS. Does anybody know what it takes to get it to work? Hes got the spoiler and brake light from a 98 and has it installed on his 97. The harness seems to be correct, but the light is a no go.

thanks.

Check to make sure the positive and negative are correct. The 98 uses LED bulbs and if the polarity is wrong they don't work.
