I know Louis Gigliotti (Lou's son) and I have seen other video's of this car. Its very badass sounding!

 

Damn that car couldn't get traction for sheeeet. That kind of mph tough is a good indication that car is making some serious hp though.

 

It's been a while since I read the article, but I think it's something like 550 rwhp.

Bad *** car but that's his older Trans Am Series racer. 690hp, 331 cubic inch SBC with 18 degree Bowtie heads, carbed, etc. GMHTP did an article on it along with his G7 Modified LS Vette. An update later told about it running a solid 9 second time well over 135mph, still spinning hard out of the hole.


And to compare. Those cars have a power to weight ratio nearing 4.5:1 where a 750hp Nextel cup car is closer to 4:1... Oh! And they gotta be hellish running a mandatory Detroit Locker out back

 

Doesn't matter how old it is, it sounds so bad ***. I wish it was running a 1/2 mile instead just to hear it go through the gears.
