Cool Car went on a mini diet :)

well both front and rear bumper supports are out. i haven't put the rear front fascia back on yet but i want to see if i can have a friend make something for me to have some sort of support for the fascia. i even went ahead and drained the washer bottle, another 5#'s

also put a lighter battery in, i saved 9#'s with the new dry cell battery by Scosche. they had an even lighter one but i wasn't too sure if it would be sufficient.

i would love to get a racing seat as well, that would save an additional 20#'s, and with the passenger seat out at m7 i would have knocked out approx. 100#'s. my race weight would at least then be in the 3500's.

i need all the help i can get to run with those quick ls1 cars

lmao!!!!

i won't tell you what the car weighs with me out of it. it is actually not bad considering the cage, 9" rear, and other miscellaneous extras.

iam gonna pull the impact bars next out of the doors.

Welp here's what I've done since I tore my piece down a year ago.
Removed rear seats
Removed some interior metal and insulation
Removed most of my bumper supports and replaced with some fiberglass
PA Racing Chrome Moly Tubular K-member
PA Racing Chrome Moly Tubular A-arms

Here's what I plan on doing before the car is back on the street again:
Remove the rest of my bumper support and make light fiberglass pieces
Fiberglass hood
Fiberglass front fenders (mabye!)
Remove door cross bars and other heavy junk

My car is a hard top and only weighed a little over 3200 before I started tearing it apart

BTW if anyone has any other ideas on how I can make my car lighter ket me know!

Joe
