Since everyone is trying to find more info about NXT, I'll share my knowledge. So far, it's an awesome product. I have two coats on and it's amazing: far better than any other product I've tried (haven't tried Zaino) First, I think the ease of application is worth it alone. I just can't get over the shine, either. Very deep, and very reflective. It's been raining here the last couple of days and the water sheds off very nicely. Well, I guess I'll stop stalling and just show the pics

Layering of any product beyond 4-5 coats also has no advantage. There is a saturation point ( bonding sites) in which a protectant is not able to adhere itself any further. Of course this is only true for a vehicle that is never used or washed. Usage of a vehicle causes deterioriation of the protectant and layering or better stated re-application re-fortifies the remaining protectant towards the level of maximum density.
Point being can one layer 10, 20, 30 ..50 coats of any product. NO.

I guess I missed a few spots. I think I'll stop with the 3rd coat, but then just keep it up with a coat every month.

I do think this summer tho I am going to take it to a shop, have that paintless dent repair done on two door dings on the quarter, and then have them buff it out real good. Maybe even have wetsanding and buffing done, as it makes all the difference in a "driver" car. Now if I can only find a hotrod shop with someone competant enough to do it without burning the paint....

Not really true, there is a point of diminishing returns of course, but several of the non abrasives, cleaner free products look better and offer better protection in the 10 coat range, as long as these applications have time to cure, and yes the prep is one of the most parts of any job.
I agree Carl. 10 coats on a driven vehicle would prolong protection and enhance appearance. My point was that it is hard to get 10 coats to attach (layer) if vehicle is never driven and the cured layers undamaged. I found 8-10 of Zaino on a driven vehicle about max before I felt I needed a Z1 treatment for best appearance.
