Wax/Polish for newer cars? Buffers?

Hey all,

My mom has a 2003 Mazda Tribute. I told her she should get some wax or polish for it, but I was kinda surprised that she welcomed the idea. I had no idea what to recommend her for a newer car (mine's 11 years old)...so I figured I'd ask you guys/gals. What's a good wax and/or polish for newer (1 year old) cars? We're in Michigan if that has any significance. She's not a car freak, so we're not gonna go order Zaino online or anything like that...just whatever we can pick up at the local Murray's or Autozone or Meijer or whatever.

Also, what's a good buffer to use? I've normally done it by hand, but I doubt she'd want to spend as much time as I do (and if she has one, I might as well use it too). Any recomendations, or will any type do? Thanks

Porter cable is a very popular and highly regarded orbital buffer.

I would recommend that you pick up mother's california gold cleaner/wax system. You should have excellent results with it.

Good luck.
