Anyone wire mallory 685 w/o harness?

If so how do you wire it up to the coil? I figured out that the green wire isnt used and that the black wire goes into the tach/pulse terminal, and the yellow goes into the bat terminal with the red pluging into the old bat terminal harness. Am i close? Thanks for any help

Good idea. Using the harness makes it so easy to install, and if the ignition ever fails, all you have to do is unplug the harness and plug it back in like stock.
