I just got back from the 6th annual VetteNet Southwest event. This year we returned to Sedona to get away from the DRY HEAT in Phx. The gathering was a bit smaller in attendance as the annual event was beginning to become unmanagable, in time and preparation. The previous years, 30+ Corvettes and 60+ people, is about the max, any more and it's very difficult to spend any quality time with each other. The "Long Distance Drive" award was give to a couple from Maryland. The 'longest' so far has been from Australia, with others from Vancouver, New York, and Florida. The previous events were held in Laughlin, Dillon, CO., Lake Tahoe, and SanteFe.
The event began from Cave Creek, to WickeDberg (one had to tow his vette back to San Jose from here when it broke down a few years back), up thru the twisties to Jerome, and then to Sedona.
All in all, we all had a great time and waiting for next years VNSW, in Colorado Springs.
It's not about cars, it's about people...
