Ouch, that's terrible. It's ironic, but I just got back from a vacation, on which my wife suffered a severe fracture/dislocation of her ankle. Some people think "bad things come in threes", so be careful!

I hope Gary has a full and speedy recovery.

Just an update on Gary. I have not seen him yet as he is still in the hospital in pretty rough shape

He broke his leg below the knee (tibia/phibia?), sustained damage to his knee with the break, shattered kneecap, broke 3 ribs, and has pnemonia He had surgery on friday afternoon.

The pnemonia is getting better though, and the healing process has begun. Its gonna be awile for him and the recovery.

Not good at all, but it could have been worse....thankful that it wasnt!

I am going to have a floral/get well package sent to him if anyone wants to contribute to that financially in the FLFB group....please contact my via email at jhsformula@aol.com

Thanks

WOW, its like a ton of bricks just hit me.

i just talked to his daughter and i hope i dont worry anyone, but she was quite upset, Understandably.

I guess he is in Intensive Care, from the affects of surgery, so he isnt doing all that well. I am planning to go see him friday night, hopefully my job can work with me about taking the time.

If anyone wants to join me, that would be great, if not i can update this post for anyone who is interested. i would plan on going in the evening by the time it would take me to get there from Syracuse.

Hope he makes a fast and full recovery!

I just talked to Marie (Gary's daugter) as well. Gary is on a ventalator at this time due to having alot of fluid in his lungs. The surgery for his leg/knee went well and that is healing, but the lungs/pnemonia is the concern more at this point.

Dave, Coats, and myself are all discussing what we are going to get/do for Gary and his family at this point.

Thanks, Jason

Yea,
i was thinking we should take up a collection for gary and his family in their time of need. From what i hear, jacki and marie are not working due to the accident, so i am sure any type of contribution would be appreciated!

anyone interested please get a hold of Jason or myself

Jason: let me know what's up. I'd like to help.

Dave: most ICU's only allow immediate family to visit.

As Dave mentioned, we have decided to provide Jacki/Marie and the family with a financial contribution as well as a nice card and floral arrangement.

Dave and I are tenitively planning to visit with them on friday afternoon, although we may or may not be able to see Gary. At least we will provide them with the care package then.

Rich, thanks. Please drop me an email
