I have been making a number of calls lately to local establishments and the California Speedway, and this is how things will turn out on
29th of June, 2002
Being that there is so many of us that want to get together, I am not going to be able to accommodate all that are out there, so I’m sorry if you cant make this, there will be another that will come about sooner than later if there is a great turn out and a good time had by all that are able to show.
I will need to know how many will go to the,
“after track snackage, for I will need to coordinate with the Mgr. at the T.G.I Fridays for parking, and table arrangements. He’s saying that we will need to be there before 5:30, as they do not take reservations after 6:00. That way, I can see about getting part of the parking lot sectioned off, so it’s all F-bodies and the sorts.
HERE IS WHAT WE HAVE

Grub some doughnuts if you so desire

3. Leave Cal Speedway about 4:30 – 5:00
Move from the track to T.G.I. Fridays
4. Arrive at T.G.I. Fridays about 5:00 – 5:30

Hang out at T.G.I. Fridays, take pics, eat some killer grub BS…ect.
If there is anything else that those that are there can come up with, like terrorize the local Ricer population, I'm totally game for that. I tried to get the ole stand by Hooters, but they are an hour away, and from what the Mgr, there was saying is that the parking is really, really bad, and expensive as well.
I’m sure that there will be those that are not able to attend, and I’m sure that there will be a next time that we can all get together. From all that I have talked to thus far, not a lot of those that are showing interest are wanting to run, but more along the lines of a “grub-n-go.”
COSTS
$10.00 to get into the track at Cal. Speedway. If you want to actually run, and there is space available, for they are going to open the gates at 7:00 am, and run at 8:00, it’s another $10.00.
There are snacks at the track, and from what I'm told by the lady that is there, they are not really set up to take VISA or MASTERCARD…cash is never turned down from what I hear.
As for T.G.I. Fridays, you are on your own for what you order, and don't forget to tip the waitress well…and ask her to take a few pics with the car!!
If you are going to get in on this, please E-mail me at mcaanda@hotmail.com and tell me if you are going to able to go to either just the track, just the dinner at T.G.I. Fridays, or if you are going to be able to go to both. This way, I can make arrangements so that things are not total chaos.
So…until then, I hope to hear from you all that are willing to go, and try to keep those petals to the metal!
