Brake Smell and Technique

I did my 3rd autocross in my '94 Z28, what fun!

The course was about 80 seconds long and some pretty fast straights with hard braking at the ends.

At the end of my first run, I could smell what I thought were hot brakes from all four wheels when I checked and adjusted tire pressure. I could not smell anything on my next 3 runs. Is this normal Camaro behavior? I'm thinking maybe the brakes outgassed the first run? My driving and times were similar for all four runs.

The course had a 180 degree cone turn. What is the best way to do this in a Camaro? I tried to spin the rear wheels to flip the rear around. What happened instead is the rears would bite, the front end would lift, and I'd plow.

Because of the torque, is turning one way faster than another? I think accelerating pushes the left rear wheel down, and lifts the right one. Would this mean I could accelerate a bit harder out of a right hand turn?

Final question: When I get into a heavy plow, sometimes the car shudders a bit, kind of like front wheel wheel hop due to turning. This happens when I hit a turn a bit too hot and turn more than ideal trying to make it. Is this normal behavior? Or does it mean I need bushings or something?
