New Kumho V710's are out

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=Ecsta+V710

275 and 315 sizes are available, 180-200 bucks

Interesting description "Compared to the VictoRacer and ECSTA V700 tires, ECSTA V710 radials are designed to provide quicker “turn-in” response, as well as increased traction and cornering speeds. In addition to looking like pro-level racing tires, ECSTA V710 tires perform like them as well, trading longevity for performance. Achieving the best performance requires that fresh ECSTA V710 tires be used as their performance level will drop off after a typical race weekend’s use."

I'm curious for autocross use how long they will last.

My guess is that they won't last as long as the old V700 Victoracers but last longer than the old Hoosiers. But only time will tell. I'm trying them this year though, I'll let you know.

I may end up getting them too. I need a new set.

David Schotz (kumho backed) 2003 ESP natl champ ran them "unofficialy" 245/50/16 here in phx last november in a brand new stock 2004 Mach 1 mustang, took esp class win by 2 sec. (I'm sure driving had to do alot with it too, 5th in PAX). he could not talk about the tire a whole lot at the time. Tire looked like a hoosier.
