I finally got the rear out & opened up, after exploding it @ the Thunder 03 event. Here is what we have.

The rear was not set up right to begin with. I knew this, but rode it out until it broke. It did.
Rear is a Moser 12 bolt 33 spline, with a Eaton HD posi.
Out with the old, in with the new, I'll give the spool a try now.

Harold has the tires "STUCK" with zero spin, You guys that claim to run this or that and don't brake are not "HOOKING" the tires!
If you were hooking and made the HP hes making you also would be braking your axle parts... 10 bolts included

Just facts bro just facts
you make the hp harlod makes and boom go your posi, sorry you have a hard time with it!
Damn Harold your really hard on rearends....
You should build a Fab 9 this time around. You will save a little weight and it will be stronger than you normal 12 bolts or 9 inchs.
Personally i wouldnt go with a spool if you still plan on doing alot of street driving with street tires. The sidewalls are too stiff and it will be really hard on your axles every time you turn a corner not to mention you get the annoying chirping. But if you plan to run on the ET's most of the time the sidewalls will flex more and it wont be as hard on your axles.
You know ive got a stock 10 bolt here that ive put through 4 years of nitrous hell and it still hasnt broke that i can sell ya
but seriously do some research on a Fab 9 i think youll be impressed

I think I'm going to just shorten the sides about 3" & fix it with a spool. If I could afford it, I would probably go with the 9". So that's going to be down the road.
Matt, send me some info on the "Fab 9".
Tire was a ET Drag, 10.5" on a little old 7.5" Convo. That's getting replaced with a 15x10" Convo. There didn't appear to be any tire spin on my launches. It HOOKED hard. http://www.derty.org/events/thunders...arold_9-90.wmv
I think the 60's will go from the 1.41 to a 1.39, once I get it to launch straight. Get all that figured out & I'll up the juice to a 300 shot.

HRH knows what he is talking about, i dead hooked my nitto's 4 years ago at stanton broke spider gears. then 2 years later at grand bend i dead hooked with a 9 inch and broke my output shaft, plenty of power, the right rear, too much traction and too soft a launch!
so get over it!
kevin is just trying to put a smiles on our faces
harold,
go nine inch! 35 spline, full locker! i love mine!
