Got beat by a 4 cylinder
Well I graduated college this May and moved about 45 minutes from where I used to live. There was a hardcore Mustang guy that I had class with he was really big into the Fox Mustangs, and the SVOs in particular
Well we were visiting family back home in 95 Z28 and when driving in town came to a stop light against a SVO, and the driver was the guy I had class with. The light goes green, and we both creep out a bit, at about ten mph we both hit it, I pull a car until about40, and when we hit 70 he has a car on me and is pulling like crazy, I let of at 70.
The guy got into the turning lane and I gave him the
And went away, To be very honest that thing shocked me
I guess atleast it wasn't a Civic, with VtEc and NaWS

A civic wouldnt even need NaWs to be close to the holy 95mph trap....alot of 4cyl cars wouldnt need NaWs for that
Fear the 95mph trap
Nice death...get some mods before it becomes a habit

Ouch! Killed by the 4 banger Mustang. Too bad you weren't in the 93 eh. Well those SVO's with their 2.3L turbos got alot of potential. Stock they run 15's, but awhile back (like 10 years ago)I've seen SVO's in mags pulling 11's and 12's. Pretty damn good for a 3100lb 4 banger on yesterdays technology.

LOL.....funny to see the first person to post(a diss) about a 95mph trap speed is a Ricer. Sergio...hows it feel to actually trap more than someone for once
I agree 95 isnt good, but....would you REALLY rather be doing it in a honda
A 8sec ricer....is still a ricer. There just isnt much pride to be had in sitting at a stoplight in import ****ters, or racing them....let the flames begin, HA!

Okay to answer the question of the trap, yes it is low, but that is at the local track where the average LT1, and 99+ GTs runs 14.4 ~ 14.6. The average LS1 runs 13.7s to 14.1s. This is on stock tires when you talk drag radials the trap and MPH is a lot better, and what you might expect.
I'm not going to make excuses for the times, they are what I ran.
But a bit of insight to the day I ran. I ran against a friend that has a 97 Z28, that has a CAI, Catback, 3.23s and a cutout, and I beat him twice by a .10 each time, he never even started to pull me and in fact I was pulling him...
That car is very strong compared to other LT1s I have raced, as far as the time goes? Who knows? Maybe I should try again...
If you are interested I will send a few videos I have of others running at the track, and their poor times, so you might see it isn't just me

What is the big deal about losing to a 4 cylinder?
I mean heck my naturally aspirated inline 4 cylinder will beat alot of cars on this board. Just show respect for the fast 4 cylinders please.

My 4 banger should be feared.
I mean heck I trap 120-124mph through the 1/8 mile. Not bad for just 4 cylinders with no power adder.
