Question best dry nozzle brand/placement for LT1?

I've got a 396 LT1 w/a vortech t-trim... i'm also running a speedpro/FAST computer... i've got 75lb/hr injectors and a weldon fuel system... the speedpro can easily activate a solenoid for some dry nitrous and then add the extra fuel and optionally retard the timing... basically, the only thing i need to decide is what nozzle and what position works best to provide even distribution on an LT1? I'm looking to run 50-75hp of nitrous... I know most of you guys like the wet kits, but for my application i think dry makes much more sense...

thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

Virtually any nozzle will suffice, though there are Dry System specific ones out there. NOS Comes to mind being the more common Dry Nozzle, though I TNT just released a Dry Nozzle also. Positioning is really not the most important factor, but I suppose ideal for a single nozzle system, ~2-4" away from the TB, and preferrably betwen the Blades would be best But even if you had it installed in a similar position as an OEM IAT Sensor it should work great for ya.

As far as using a Dry N20 System w/ the Speed Pro, my understanding is that unless you have a Sequential system (And we all know what a PITA that is on these LT Motor'd cars) that you're best off with a Wet system.
If you do have a Sequential system then just disregard this. Then my question would be how'd yua resolve the Cam Position Sensor issues... as I'd like to go to a Sequential system myself LOL.

Good luck!

i have the bank to bank, not the sequential... what have you heard bad about bank to bank and dry? obviously you can't do the individual cylinder corrections with the bank to bank, but with only 50-75hp of nitrous i can't imagine that you'd need to fine tune it that much... i just don't want the headache of extra fuel lines and jets... i don't have a schrader valve anymore (i have -8 fittings welded on the end of each fuel rail) so there's no simple connection spot... i'm just looking to add a little extra power and a little extra intercooling... do you think the single dry nozzle should work for that?

Jeff, You're probably right in that with such a small system, it shouldn't be an issue. Guess I was just going off of the Big spray motor mentality LOL.

Isn't your car the one I've seen pics of with the Dual Oval Spintech Exhaust? How do you like those Muffs? They look like they'd be ideal for ground clearance, but I keep hearing bad reviews on them from various other boards.

Thanx!

i'm running the non-oval spintechs... true duals... NO ground clearance, but they sound good and seem to make decent power...

So what you're saying is squeezing my 3 1/2" pipes underneath is going to be "Interesting" to say the least....

no, i'm saying you'll need hydraulics to raise the car if you want to move!

actually, the looseness of your suspension plays a huge role in the clearance... with my hal shocks set on 1 or 2 the front goes up and down over every dip and scrapes... with the suspension tighter its a lot better...
