Question brake problem

Creaking noise from left rear brake. A little bit of feedback from the brake pedal too, still firm, not grinding or scrubbing, just kind of a creak. Is this the rear brake pad problem our cars have?

Thanks in advance.

Re: brake problem

shadydavy,
Just tonight, i'm pulling up to Wendy's, and all i hear comming to a stop is creeeaaakk. Guess, i have the same problem you do. Even when at a stop, and i pump the brakes, all i hear is creak, creak, creak, creak. Along with you, this creaking noise is comming from the driver rear brake/rotor. Normally i would just deal with the noise, but it is more than noticably loud. I am going to probably take it apart tomorrow, but if anyone out there already knows what it is, it would be greatly appreciated if you would post.

Thanks all

I have very high quality ceramic pads, it's not a squeek, it's a creak, like stepping on old wooden steps.....

Re: brake problem

Sounds to me like you have the bad rubber bushing blues. You should swap out the old OEM (read deteriorated) bushings for some polyeurathane jobs. Until that time you can use some spray lube to pinpoint the creak. Spray one at a time and test it until you don't hear the problem anymore.
