Help me Upgrade my stereo

I'm going to be buying new door speakers within the next few days since I just blew my bose speakers, but I had a few questions first.

Where is the bose amp on a 93?

How hard is it to bypass?

Can I install 6 1/2" speakers or 6 3/4" speakers?

Thanks in advance!
Clint

I say just dump everything and rewire your whole car w/ new HU and new speakers. You can use the 6 1/2 for your speakers.

i agree with paul, i just changed everything over and was very happy with the results. i didn't even touch any amps or stock wiring for the speakers i just ran new wire from each location right on up to the aftermarket hu. if you have any questions on how i did it pm me and ill let ya know the details.

Whats wrong with the stock wiring? It would seem to save time if you used it wouldn't it?

there is nothing wrong wit the stock wiring if you are using the HU to power the speakers. But if you plan on amping it, I highly suggests to rewire the car. I drove my car for about a year using the stock wires after being ampped and I just recently rewired my wires to Stinger 12awg speaker wires. All I can say is that there is a night and day difference. My volume max out at 30. Before, I would listen around 10, now it's around 7.

its worth the time now to save frustration later, and plus its not that expensive for some decent wire so why not just do it right the first time, at least thats how i looked at it for my situation.

Even if you don't plan on using an aftermarket amp..... there are no wires that run straight from the head unit to the speakers....
