Post Changed Plugs....lost power....help!

I recently purchased some NGK TR55's and received TR5's instead. I called the supplier and they said they were the same as the TR55's, the only difference was the gap. So I gapped them to .50 (they came gapped at .35 i think). So I get these things put in....and now it doesn't pull has hard as my stock plugs that have 80k on them. Now....what could be the problem? I checked and didn't see any hoses disconnected. Would the car run rough firing only on 7? It runs smooth...it just doesn't seem to want to climb through the RPM's like it use to. Should I take them out and gap them at .35? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Here we go again! J.C.Whitney used to advertise spark plugs that would give you 25 more H.P. and 25 % better mileage. Take out the plugs they are the wrong heat range!.
My old Drag Racing buddy of 40+ years (Engineer for Buick)- graduate of G.M. Tech raced his Rat engine Camaro many seasons and never used a specialty plug.I tried lots of them and always came back to the factory plug. Good luck here is a good site on plugs..

And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest castle in all of England.

Thumbs up

NOTHING is better on our cars th en AC Delco. If i ran the gas id use NGK TR6s though.... Otherwise, AC delco is the way to go. When i changed my stock Delcos at 30K miles they were as clean as they could be.

Wink

Why is that gap so small? I took the platnums out for regular delco's at 3000 miles, and i remember the stock gap is supposed to be around .65 and obviously less if you spray. i have my gap set at .55 and i have no problems. It pulls hard all the way, all the time.
