Post a "claybar FYI" ...

The Zaino claybar worked very well at taking off all of the white paint overspray on my Trans Am caused by my neighbors when they were painting shelves. What morons would spray paint shelves in high wind about 10ft away from my car?

ARGH... sorry, just a rant/rave and some good claybar information, I guess

Cool

When my Dad had his Corvette (black), I accidently got some red overspray on it and couldn't figure out how to get it off. It wasn't until I joined this board that I learned that clay could take off overspray, the problem was that I joined this board 2 months after my Dad sold it.

Yep, clay is truly a miracle product among detailers. It quickly and safely removes particulates that polishes can't. I suspect that the overspray never really had a chance to bond onto your paint since you use Zaino, so the clay easily took it off. Nothing sticks to Zaino polish, so I imagine the paint overspray was pretty easy to remove. Neat huh??

It did come off very easily, and the thing is, I didn't notice it until I pulled it out of the garage after 4 months sitting over the winter. (It's a white car and they were using white paint). Luckily, I had zaino'd all of my windows as well. It came off with one swipe So basically I clayed the entire thing, brought it back to plain clearcoat, and re-zaino'd with ZFX. Looks MUCH better than it did.

Does a good job of removing crusty bug carcasses on the from end. I do that after a rain and it's damp out. Softens em up
