How much will and exhaust cutout help my 1/4?
I am trying to find out how much time I can cut off of my 1/4 mile times with an exhaust cutout? my car is a 2002 Z28 m6 with a ram air hood and air box/K&N filter, stock exhaust and only some suspension upgrades, also how much will some lca's help my launch over the flimsy stock ones?

The stock exhaust is pretty good on the newer cars with light mods. A cutout may get you a tenth or two and maybe a mph or two.
In terms of launching, I would get some sticky tires before adding suspension pieces. Nitto or BFG drag radials work pretty well.

If you are getting any wheel hop, I would install some lower control arms with polyurethane bushings.

I just put a cutout on mine. Each time I ran with it open, it gave me a consistant .1 sec off my 1/4 mile time, and about 2 mph.

The cutout has been a mixed blessing for me - it shows some gains, but I seem to notice a decrease in torque. Anyone else notice this?

i have an slp loudmouth and noticed the decrease in torque.
it has more hp i imagine because it definetly seems to go faster from 30 + but its not as easy to break the tires loose as it was with the stock exhaust
