I know many older Chevrolet radios have the theftlock system, where if your battery dies or is disconnected it needs a code to unlock it. Does the 2010 Camaro Radio theft deterrent feature work the same? Or as long as its still in my vehicle, do i not need an unlock code?

 

Somewhere in the manual is says something about the radio having part of the VIN hard coded into it. It won't work if it's moved to a vehicle with a different VIN. So there is no unlock code.

 

i would figure,by now, they have something like that. i hated putting in the code everytime the car died. most of the time i forgot it.
