Anyone ever used sun-tan lotion on their dash, etc.???

Any studies on this? I want a good protectant from the sun. This Houston heat is a bi1ch!

why not get a bottle of the Zaino leather conditioner (comes with UV protector) stuff smells great. just remember a little bit goes a long way.
it's great for dashes.

Yeah, Don't use sunscreen Try Z-10 for both Leather and Vinyl. Or another Vinyl protectant with UV

OK this might sound just a little awkward, but i use vaseline on my dash....yes vaseline. Keeps the dash from drying out, and gives a nice shine. I do clean the dash before application...like i said...awkward...but it does the trick. No cracks, and looks great.

I use vaseline on the plastics around the windshield wipers.

I have heard on a couple of occasions that 303 protectant is good for a dash/interior job and UV protection, plus it has no silicone in it, also works on tires, however, I have never been able to find it in any store. Someone here posted a while back a website that you can order it from.
