Post Q: Best brake package that fits in a 15" wheel

Title askes it all, pretty much.

My camaro is a daily driver, it needs work...
I don't want to mod it to death, until I am in a position to make it a summer, weekend car. I have 205/70R15's for winter.

My question is what is the "best" brake package is the stock format (pads and rotors). "Best" for me is for spirited street driving and one or two autoX's

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions

Regards,
Derek

Do your 15" wheels even fit around the stock brakes? I'm not sure you're going to find much, other than maybe a good set of pads. I like the PFC Street pad as a good combo street/track pad.

Nascar uses a 15" wheel, but on stock LT1 brakes for the folks that use 15" Weld drag wheels I have heard some clearancing needs to be done on the calipers.

Maybe Wilwood has something...

Hello Derek, I figured I would eventually stumble across another Nova Scotian. I did not expect it to be someone I had allready met though. Sorry I have never mounted 15" wheels on the Z and therefore don't know about the brakes.

Question

Thanks guys.

I am basicly looking for a suggestion on pads and rotors (quality and performance vs. price).

As far as the clearance issue: an ugly OEM style FWD 15x7 will fit with no issues, where as the wheels I have need a 1/4" spacer to clear the face of the stock one pistion caliper.

jj93z28 did you get after any ricers at the park this weekend??

Regards,
Derek
