Pro's & Con's of the AFR 227

Looking to put these heads on a 383 What is the....Good,the bad , the ugly with the AFR227 head .

This car will be a DD car and i want a head that i can grow with...

-order the head from who
-should i get AFR's port work or order them bare and get someone to clean them up
-how small can you get the cc
-any wild part need
-who is runing these heads

You should talk to the guy's at AFR. However, there's are some valve train issues that need to be looked at. I believe you need offset lifters/rockers as well as a few other things. The AFR 210's are the largest you can go without valvetrain modifications. If the car is a daily driver I wouldn't recomend 227's, you won't have the low end for the street unless your blown or have a turbo. I talked to the guys at AFR a couple of years ago so I don't remember all the details. I hope this does help.
