How to check TEMP gaudge?

Got my oil leak fixed.

Mow my TEMP gaudge is not going past the 1st mark or so. even when i let it sit and idle till the first fan kicks on.

Its getting power cause u can see it move up till that 1st mark from a cold start.

But no higher

Take the wire off the sensor, ground it (with key ON) and see if your gauge fully deflects. If so, you have a bad connection to the sensor or a bad sensor. If not, you have a problem with the circuit or gauge, itself.
