exhaust/engine performance
I am posting here because you guys have these cars and drive everyday.
I am installing lontubes with straight pipe back into dynomax minis then turndowns. does this setup sound like it will work? will there be any ill effects on the engine?

Re: exhaust/engine performance
Should not create a problem, as long as the mufflers are large enough. I run 3" Borla XR1's on the collectors, then 3" straight pipes back toward the axle with turndowns. Once you get past the collectors, bigger is better, you don't want to create extra back-pressure.

Re: exhaust/engine performance
Keep in mind that bullet mufflers and dumps aren't always the best idea for a car that gets driven a lot. Many of these "mufflers" are designed for maximum flow while keeping the dB level to 120 or so which is still going to be incredibly loud. They also aren't generally tuned to eliminate certain unwanted acoustics which can lead to drone at some speeds. Trust me. My last set of dumps using an x pipe and Spiral flow bullets would run you out of the car cruising 65-75 in 6th gear. Sounded awesome anywhere else though. Lasted about 2 months before I threw it in the trash.

Re: exhaust/engine performance
The car isnt driven much and when it it there isnt much high speed cruising. If its too much, I will switch to a catback or something a little quieter.
I do have a super 10 series laying here, how you think 2 of them would sound?
