Anyone port their own intake?

Anyone port their own intake?
I am porting an intake for a buddy of mine. I gasket matched the TB, and that was the easy part. I started on the runners with my dremel and a 1/4" 120 grit drum. Its working, but I can't get more than 2 inches into the runner, and it is taking forever! Does anyone know what tools will work the best, and have the best turnout? I did a search and a metric TON of things came up. I figured this would be a little faster. I am trying to get this done by tomorrow.
Thanks y'all,

To be honest with you, I have heard that too. When I had mine done, it was done with the intake and heads together. My buddy just wants the intake done. Thanks for the input. Anyone else have any experience with this? Good oe bad?

custom ported intake here. What the shop did was cut the top off the intake, build up some "air horns" on the runners with a TIG welder. then smooth and blend it all out. Then weld the top back on. Didnt cost me much and they got some free track time and i sport thier decal under my hood. For this shop to do this for someone else is in the 800-1100 range. The thing i noticed the most was the part throttle grunt below 3500. Worth it? for me yes almost free. To pay that for it i would think about it real serious. Lots of drinks and table dances for eleven hun
