Failed emissions this morning, again!
This time around my HC's were 0.51, 0.80 allowed, CO's were 9.44,
12.00 allowed, and NOX's were 2.10, 2.00 allowed. As you can see, I missed it by .10 I did the plugs and wires. The car just hit 101000 miles. I'm thinking it's got to be the EGR valve. I'm planning on replacing it this Tues., but will a change of oil and filter save me from spending on the EGR valve or should I just replace it and not worry about it down the line? The valve is going to cost me a good $100 bones.

Re: Failed emissions this morning, again!
With the engine idling use a vacuum pump on the vacuum line (from the solenoid to the valve) to open it. If the engine stumbles, you have proved the vacuum line is OK and the valve is OK, and saved yourself $100. Then pull a vacuum on the line from the manifold to the solenoid. Should hold vacuum. That proves that line is OK. Next, apply a vacuum, activate the solenoid with a ground (already has 12V supplied) and if the engine stumbles, you have proved out the whole system.
The only remaining problem might be limited flow due to a carboned up pintle on the valve or the passage being partially blocked. Try cleaning the valve as noted above.

A new cat might also be good idea if your still running stock manifolds. A bad cat can do alot of things to etests. Your not to far off so i would check the egr issues first.
