IAT Sensor for Lid???

I want to get the Direct-Flo lid and for an extra $20 you can get an IAT sensor. I have no idea what this is and if I need it to use my new lid. My car is a 1999 Z28 M6, do I need this?

Thanks!

All lids must have an IAT sensor...you need it or you'll throw a code and screw up your IAT count..you may be thinking of the air tube for 01' and later...that comes from the side of the air box...the IAT sensor plugs into the airbox

Sorry, in other words you don't need this...that is the 01' and later air tube connection
