Kooks Exhaust ADVICE
I am tossing the shorties and want the Kooks LT's...
what setup would work best for me from front to back?
-I want the headers to look good for life and not to rust if possible
-will an e-cut out rust and cause probs down the road if winter driven
-advice re (true duals/x-pipe/muffler/O2 sims)
-I am installing a SC down the road and do not want this exhaust decision to limit my power when SC'd.
-I do have to deal with emissions so everything has to be legal except the cutout
My car is a daily driver so noise is a concern, but dammit I want to sound good also.
What works best with you guys. What ballpark $$ am I looking at? thanks

Re: Kooks Exhaust ADVICE
well...LTs are not emissions legal in the states.
do you mean just passing the sniff test?
LTs, hi-flow cats (magnaflow) and true duals should work fine. 3" pipeing should give you more than enough flow for your planned SCed application.
most cutouts are made of regular steel, which will rust. i've heard that jethot will coat a cutout, but you still have to figure out how to attach it without messing the coating up. i say just run the duals and forget the cutouts.
to keep the duals quiet (relative term) you'll need something more than bullets. maybe some sweet thunder chambered mufflers or the XR-1s from borla...but those are quite a bit more $$.
